Metro Club Standards
Metro Aberdeen have set up Club Standard Awards for juniors and seniors. The distances which qualify for the senior standards are: 3K or 5K (Short), 10K or 10 Mile (Medium) and Half Marathon or Marathon (Long). Club Standard Awards are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th - awards are split into age groups from seniors right through 75+. To qualify for an award, you need to have completed 3 races from the 6 race distances, at least 1 short, 1 medium and 1 long race and achieved the times in the appropriate category for your age group. The year runs from the 1st January through to the 31st December the same year. If you have run races and achieved a standard for your age group, please complete a Standards Claim Form.
For example:- Age 40+ Male, 3K 10:03 (short), 10K 36:00 (medium), 1/2 marathon 1:20:00 (long), this would qualify you for a Club 2nd standard.
Please fill in the Claim Form. with all details requested. It is up to each individual to claim their standard achieved. Please also indicate if you want a trophy.
All races in the specified distances will be included in the standard claims. For results to count, they must have been achieved as a member of Metro Aberdeen, results prior to membership will not count.
